MISSION

ELSA Net empowers its members, throughout the province of British Columbia, to help their clients achieve language and resettlement goals by providing leadership, communication networks, and resources.

VISION

Excellence in Settlement Language Services. Our values reflect our passion for education and support our success.

STRATEGIC GOALS

1. Maintain a peer network among organizations delivering ELSA programs to support excellence in program delivery.
2. Be a proactive information and communication channel between Government and ELSA member organizations.
3. Collaborate with organizations with mutual concerns for developing and delivering resources and services for immigrants, refugees, and newcomers.
4. Promote and support ongoing professional development.

DEFINITIONS

ELSA: English Language Services for Adults, a funding stream of the British Columbia Settlement and Adaptation Program.

ELSA Net: A society of ELSA Service Providers.

Service Providers: Organizations such as settlement agencies (non-profit organizations), community and university colleges, school board continuing education departments, and private schools offering ELSA Programs.
